Anonymous-OS is Fake, Packed with Trojans, Says AnonOps

Last week Anonymous announced that they've released their own version of a Linux-based operating system. Well, turns out the Linux-based operating system that claimed to be the work of Anonymous could have nothing to do with the well-known hacktivist group. Word about the Anonymous OS started doing the rounds earlier this week with reports pointing to a Tumblr account for the operating system. The page had Anonymous literally written all over it and the ‘about' page on the blog said the OS was created for educational purposes to check the security of web pages.

EverQuest is now free-to-play

EverQuest is now free-to-play

All good things must come to an end, but I suppose before the MMORPG (Massively Multilayer Online Role Playing Game) known as EverQuest (same call it EverCrack in it's heyday) still has some life left it in. In fact, it has been a good 13 years since the original EverQuest went online, making it one of the longest running subscription-based MMORPG to date. In order to celebrate its 13th anniversary, EverQuest will be adopting the free-to-play model. It makes sense, as who else is going to sign up and pay for something which is already so old.

Final ITC ruling affirms Motorola Mobility didn't violate Apple's patents

Final ITC ruling affirms Motorola Mobility didn't violate Apple's patents

The preliminary decision already determined that, in this case, Motorola Mobility hadn't violated any of Apple's patents with its Droid series, and now a final review has affirmed those initial findings. While this might not be a massive turn up for the books, it does close the doors on at least one big name patent dispute. That said, Apple can appeal to the Federal Circuit, and given that it has done before, it's likely the iPad maker will do so here.
